- Jan 17, 2025: The Datacron Database celebrates its 5th Anniversary! The site is currently undergoing an overhaul to celebrate and bring it into 2026 with a bang.
Official News
- Lucasfilm Ltd. has announced that Kathleen Kennedy has stepped down as President of the company after 14 years. She is being succeeded by Dave Filoni as President and Lynwen Brennan as Co-President, whom have been with the company for 21 and 27 years respectively. We here at the Database wish Mrs. Kennedy the best in her future producing endeavors and Mr. Filoni and Mrs. Brennan on their future success in their new positions at Lucasfilm Ltd.
- Lucasfilm Ltd. and Titan Magazines has announced the end of publication of Star Wars Insider. The nearly 40-year-old publication will publish it's final issue #237 in April-May 2026.
- During the 2025 Game Awards, Lucasfilm Games announced Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic a “spiritual successor” to the Knights of the Old Republic games being developed by Casey Hudson and Arcanaut Studios. It is currently unknown if the game is set within the continuity of Star Wars Legends.
